Steve Blank, the Godfather of Silicon Valley, preaches “getting out of the building” as the key to startup success. Get your team closer to customers and product market fit. Break down the physical and mental barriers that stifle innovation. Work amongst startups. Share ideas and collaborate with others.
Our innovation lab is a fun and creative space where you can host your innovation projects and offsite training sessions, where your staff can approach their work with a different mindset.
By taking your team out of the building and into an innovation lab, you are effectively flicking a mental switch that gets them into a different mindset - ready to think different and act different than what they would in the familiar surrounds of the mothership.
We’ve been home to over 50 startups that have collectively raised more than US$10M, we’ve hosted hundreds of events on technology, corporate innovation and startup development, thought leaders such as Ash Maurya (author of Running Lean and creator of the lean canvas) have called our innovation lab home when running workshops in Melbourne and we now have a partnership with UrWork to host corporates at their innovation lab in Singapore.
We understand the environment that’s required to get people innovating - this extends to everything from natural light, office fit-out, desk configuration, access to whiteboards, blackboards, post-it notes, quiet space, breakout areas - and with play being essential to creativity, our labs come kitted out with putting greens, arcade tables, basketball rings and old school Nintendo entertainment systems, so people can recharge between brainstorming and prototyping sessions.
Your employees will also be able to connect with and leverage the insights of startups who call Collective Campus home. We’ve been home to startups and companies such as UBER, Zomato, Foodora, Coinjar, Law Advisor, Asset Owl, Vaniday and countless others who have gone on to raise millions to develop their game-changing concepts.
Leverage startups when performing customer testing and ask for feedback on ideas and prototypes. The faster your teams learn, the faster they can determine what doesn’t work and more importantly, what excites people... the faster you move, the faster you move towards product market fit.
You can also host your team’s events at Collective Campus.

I used Collective Campus' innovation lab to run my 2 day running lean workshop. The space was perfectly located with natural light and has ample room for breaking out into teams, white-boarding and workshopping ideas. Best of all, the lab is right next door to CC Labs, which is brimming with tech startups, so the energy of the space is infectious and gets people's creative juices flowing. Both Sean and Steve were really hospitable and made sure that everything went off without a hitch. I'd definitely use the lab again and recommend it to any teams looking to take innovation out of the building."
"The Lean Startup Short Course at Collective Campus equips you with the fundamentals required to take your startup idea to an MVP and validate it. Interactive classroom sessions, hands-on exercises and guest speakers who talked about their startup journeys were the highlights of the course for me."
"Steve is extremely knowledgeable around innovation theory and start up methodologies and provides great commercial perspectives on disruptive innovators. Definitely worth a listen for any company not currently disrupting themselves"
The workshops I’ve taken at Collective Campus were highly relevant to my career, pitched at the right level and delivered to perfection. CC provides a productive environment for high-quality, tailored training from a comprehensive list of contributors.
